The style reminds me how you painted the women "The Taste is Not...", just that Jade feels even more alive to me. When painting people in a realistic way, doing so with (digital) oil colours really seems to work well, maybe because of the roughness of the paint strokes. Best example are her hairs where you don't only see strands, but also think to see single hairs - not to forget their vivid nature. I could go on forever what I like about the picture: From how the shadow on her face makes her appear even more mysterious, then her serious, yet unreadable expression herself (her eye area is amazingly expressive), her pose (and cheers for the correct anytomy, something at which I fail), the details on her belt... I'm curious where her right hand is pointing to.
I can't wait to see Pey'J in your style, and possibly Double H, too.
I KNEW you would like this one, I actually thought of you a few times while making it, since I know you're such a huge BG&E fan.
This pic was reaaallly fun to do. I've been wanting to do a realistic picture of Jade for like 6 months now. I even reinstalled the game and played through it again last month in an attempt to find some inspiration. Apparently it worked!
And her right hand isn't really pointing and anything, it's just resting on the pole. I tried to hint her thumb on top of her pointer finger to make it not look like a point. Also I tried painting on her jacket as well, but it just didn't look as good, and lost some realism.
Thanks for the comments Priestess Shauni, you rock.
